Easy Hemp Milk Recipe

Have you ever tried hemp milk? It's delicious!

Hemp milk is a popular plant-based milk that is incredibly nutritious. Simply made by blending water and shelled hemp seeds, hemp milk has a nutty and creamy flavor. It is tasty in smoothies, coffee, or simply by itself. 

Hemp milk is free from soy, lactose, and gluten making it an excellent option for those with dietary restrictions. Hemp milk contains more protein and healthy fats than any other plant based milk, including rice and almond milk. It also contains high levels of antioxidants, fatty acids, minerals, and vitamins.

Just one cup of hemp milk contains over 4 grams of protein and over 7 grams of fat.

Easy Hemp Milk Recipe

Makes about 4 cups

Ingredients
1/2 cup hulled hemp seeds
3-4 cups water
1 pinch sea salt

1 whole date, pitted (may substitute for 1 tbsp agave nectar or 1 tbsp maple syrup)

Instructions
1. Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until well combined.
2. Serve and enjoy! You can strain it if you’d like but it is great as is.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for a few days. Shake well when ready to enjoy.
